This magnificent bracelet is the perfect accompaniment to the HOBE Chatelaine featured in another listing! The workmanship is superb and takes design influence from the Art Nouveau era. 

 

The HOBE family started their jewelry business in Paris, France in 1887.  They became famous for their museum quality workmanship with precious metals and applied this same technique to the vintage costume jewelry.  William Hobe, the son of the founder, visited the US as a representative selling theatrical costumes to Florenz Ziegfeld.  Upon discovering that Williams family were jewelers, he asked if they could create some inexpensive jewelry for his Famous Follies production, thus the term “Costume” jewelry!

 

Hobe became known for their intricate Sterling Silver pieces produced during the WWII era and became the Jeweler to the Hollywood elite!

 

This piece is absolutely stunning and is sure to make jaws drop whenever you wear it!
