Antique Porcelain Cherub Angel & Chinese Chinoiserie Urn Vase. A beautiful but confusing / interesting vase with a mix of typical continental cherubs/ angels and gilding with panels of oriental scenes reminding me of Masons patterns. An interesting mix and hopefully someone will love this curious piece. It measures 23cm tall.
This vase has a clear ping when tapped, but there is tiny nibble to one of the angels toes. There is a mark across the ankle of the one angel, it is hard to tell but may be a firing crack, there is no looseness or movement here. This is not a repair, and appears to just be an imperfection. There are no other chips or cracks. There is some surface wear such as scratches and scuff marks, and some wear to paint and gold gilt. Perhaps it once had a lid?
