Why buy a Rascal?
"The Rascal is the perfect Klein for many, because it was the same frame as the Attitude with a 1" head tube instead of the complicated MC1 oversize head tube. Allowing you the option to run any 1” fork with ease .Has the Same big thick horizontal dropouts,(prized by single speed bikers) oversized fat downtube and most importantly, the same geometry as both the Attitude and the Adroit .Klein Rascal...different enough to be a Klein, but normal enough for your retro build.
Notice the patented Klein Round into Square chain stays that Gary Klein developed in 1973 as part of an aluminum bicycle project at MIT,
and check out the cool and strong boxed bottom bracket, Giving this light weight racer a edge over all other regular bikes..
Looking over the rest of the bike & the components it will be clear to you that this 25 # Rascal was made to perform, With a full Shimano Deore XT drivetrain
Shimano XTR M900 cranks
Answer Manitou Easton fork (just rebuilt with new elastomers)
Sun Chinook - Campagnolo Mirox- wheels shod with new Pisgah tires
I have taken The Rascal out for a quick spin around the local (paved) roads here in the Malibu Mountain and down at the Zuma Beach bike path, she tracks straight, shifts like a fine watch, pulls up hills like a scared mountain goat
Just completed a full tune up this week and pro rebuild fork
While out for a test ride at Malibu’s famous Zuma Beach, (where they filmed many Bay Watch episodes) people would gather to check her out, I would get stopped and , ”WOW a Klein, “killer color”
RASCAL VS TOP GUN What’s in a Name?
Gary Klein attempted to file Trademark status on his new Top Gun Bicycle and got squashed by Paramount Pictures for infringing on their new movie release “Top Gun” Gary didn't have another name in mind to call the model, so his general manager came up with “Rascal” and the Rascal name was born.
The Klein Rascal series are some of the coolest looking bikes ever made! You will love riding it and your biking friends will be envious. She is ready to hit the trail or hank on the wall as rolling art. You and your friends will be pleasantly surprised when you take your first ride and you leave them eating your dust!!
Look at the pictures of this gorgeous original bike No cracks, No Rust, no dent, she does have several Scratches, Scrapes and some lite paint please see the pictures , It is quite an original , low mile bike
What’s the scoop with Kleins
Sure, they're the most beautiful bikes in the world to look at, with models featuring their own special "debossed" graphics, smooth welds, specially-manipulated tubing called "gradient" that makes these the most perfect machines ever built in terms of delivering power to the real wheel and precise control to the front...
Want to see more of why nothing else compares to a Klein?
Did you know that Klein frames were welded using a special patented process at super low freezing temperature apparently this imparts something magical to the ride.
Even the least-expensive Kleins feature tubing and technology found nowhere else, including "gradient" tubing which begins its life as Aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, inspected every single foot for imperfections (bicycle industry standard is every 6 feet), and specially formed, tapered and manipulated into something very special...your new bike frame! Check it out...look at the chainstays of any Klein and the differences will be obvious. Look at the headtube/downtube junction, and the manner in which they've created a special shape for the downtube to ensure a better joint
The differences are everywhere...you can see them, and better yet, you can feel them when you ride. And today, you can buy a superior Klein aluminum bike for pretty much half the cost as the inferior wannabes

Here are a few questions we get often
Are these New 2014 bikes?
NO 99% of the bikes we offer are vintage from late 1980-2000’s, they may appear new because we strive for truly mint survivors of this era.
Will you buy my vintage mountain bike?
YES, if they are mint/ or near mint, please call or email us with the brand, model, color of your bike contact SAL 310 359 8647
How can you tell if a bike has LOW Miles or use?
Easy way is to look at the. Crank arms, brake, shifters & levers, and see if the original name are still shows there , grips ,saddle are good to check too , but the often get changed out by a owners personal preference.
When someone tell you this bike has had only 2 -3 short rides in its lifetime, it better not have any major scuffs on the crank arms and brand name should still be clearly on the shifters/brake levers.
We go out of our way to acquire mint bicycles and pay top dollar for them.
If they are not mint, they usually end up as parts bikes, or donated to local charities.
What is that green film on the grips,& seat?
After new Grips, or Saddle are installed we wrap them in a protective stretch wrap so they don’t get dirty from road testing or while performing service, so as to make sure they arrive at your door looking new.

All bicycles will require some degree of reassembly and tuning when they arrive. Most bicycle shops charge $25 to $75 for this type of service. If you are not experienced with bicycle repair and maintenance we strongly suggest taking your bike to a professional for reassembly and fitting. A good bike shop assembly will help prevent any damage or problems with your bike that can result from improper reassembly. (If you do not know of a good local shop, do a YELP search in your area)
