Vintage Carl Zeiss Ikon Jena Olympia Sonnar 1:2.8 180mm camera lens, serial number 2275087. The lens comes in its original fitted box, and has front cap, one rear cap, eyecup and a rubber dibber. The tripod mount ring is missing. The original cable release trigger is present, but this seems to be jammed - the needle is stuck inside the tube. However, a replacement cable release trigger will be included with the sale. I have not tested the lens fully, but the zoom mechanism works, as does the aperture ring. When the cable release trigger is attached and pressed, the internal shutter flips as it should. The optics appear free from scratches. When looking through the lens, there is dust fragmentation, and a dulled / yellow appearance. There are no major obstructions, but I would suggest a professional clean to the mirror / lens would be needed. The fifth photo shows the back of the lens, when removed from the shutter box, and the sixth shows the image through the lens itself (again when not attached to the shutter box). These show some smearing to the lens, and a few small fungus bloom spots. It has a bayonet type mount to the back, which I assume is a Contax fit, but I am not certain. I believe it dates to the 1930s. In good cosmetic condition, with some external dust and a few chips to the black paint coating of the barrel. The box has some scuffing externally and some minor staining / grubiness internally. The lock to the box has no key, and is rusted - the catch works fine, but is a bit stiff as a result of the rust. This lens is heavy, so postage to Europe will cost £26.00, and to the rest of the World £50.00.
