Kit includes all of the following;

  1. XX-MX40 1.2-1.5W 445nm laser diode
  2. Micro FLEX-DRIVE V5 DRIVER (ADJUSTABLE UP TO 1.5A)
  3. (3 element) 445nm AR coated glass lens
  4. Acrylic lens ( i use this to cover the diode window when press-fitting module, dont use for any power above 200mW)
  5. One foot of wire
  6. Quality laser safety glasses!
  7. Now including 6, low charging nitrile finger cots. use to prevent finger prints on optics, and they are low static charging (anti-static)

There is no excuse for not wearing EYE PROTECTION. All you need is one accidental exposure/reflection and you will NEVER see out of that eye again!!!! You must use EYE PROTECTION.

It is a federal crime to shine a laser at an aircraft!!
(and really dumb and irresponsible!)

some sellers list their diodes as 1500-2000mw power, this is not correct i have texted many of these with professional power supplies and the most power that is stable is almost always 1500mw!! i have had some stay stable at 1600mw but not for long then usualy drift to 1400mw. and ONE diode peaked at 1900mw for 2 seconds. peak power means nothing. the power output needs to be constant to label it the actual power rating. to list the same diode I'm selling as 1500mw-2000mw is being deceptive, and not a good business practice. BEWARE!!

FlexDrive V5 Parameter Specification Unit
Input Voltage 2.0-5.5 V
Output Voltage 2.0-5.5 V
Output Current 0.065-1.5 A
Conversion Efficiency 80-95 %
Regulation Ripple (4-100kHz) < 1%

I can make custom laser modules and hosts as well, send me a message with what you need.

Also included:  Safety glasses!!
Newly tested 1watt is attenuated down to 6mw!

One pair of quality laser safety glasses used for 532nm 405nm 445nm lasers.
These glasses greatly attenuate the beam power as shown in the pictures (1-WATT 445nm Blue laser used for demonstration) 1watt beam input, and ~6mw after the glasses!!

These will help keep you safe when observing your laser burn things!! These are ones i use when playing with my 1-watt 445nm laser.
A direct beam exposure of 1Watt will attenuated down to ~6mw (but should be avoided)!

This kit will make a functioning high power laser capable of 1.5 watt of 445nm blue laser light. Some assembly is required, you should have good/decent soldering skills, and a quality soldering iron with fine tip. You will also need to be able to press fit the diode into the Aixiz module.

You must supply your own heat-sink large enough to keep the diode from overheating. please check my other auctions for suitable heat sinks or just ask if they are not listed yet. I have modified computer CPU heat-sinks that work great for this job. or you could incorporate this into the aluminum flashlight of your choice.

This module shown in pictures producing 1057mw powered by a single cell 3.7v lion battery (same one I sell) that picture of the meter was with the xx-xx30 diode this one will give 1200mW+ but i have not taken a new picture yet!

I also have rechargeable 18650 3.7v 2400mAh, and 3000mAh lithium Ion batteries and chargers available just ask or check back soon as i will be listing more options for building your laser!!

Above all else the diode must stay relatively cool and not be allowed to overheat as permanent damage will result.

The FlexDrive V5 has 5 current ranges that get set with a combination of solder bridge points (jumpers) on the board. I include a comprehensive manual showing you how to do this. ( Sent via EMAIL, if you haven't received it please check your junk/spam folders)  once the current range is set, it is then further adjustable with the on-board potentiometer.

the current ranges are:

 65-100mA
100-312mA
108-412mA
155mA-600mA
412mA-1.5A

To adjust and set the diver current, a load is
required.  A series of 3 or 4 1N4001 diodes and a 1 to 0.2 ohm resistor is recommended for use as a dummy load.
Use the Voltage across the dummy load resistor to determine current.  Output current is adjusted via the
potentiometer trimmer.  An insulated screwdriver and a light touch are recommended for adjustment. (adjustment is required so you don't go over the max current rating of the diode, killing it!)

Extraction was done on a proper ESD safe Workstation and all precautions were observed.

By purchasing this item you agree to the following!

There is no excuse for not wearing EYE PROTECTION. All you need is one accidental exposure/reflection and you will NEVER see out of that eye again!!!! You must use EYE PROTECTION.
These glasses are not meant to stop the laser beam completely, they will only greatly attenuate the beam!! they will give good protection for viewing your laser burning things, But use at your own risk! You assume all responsibility, you will not hold seller liable for any damages to yourself, person, or property!! Measurements were done on a Kenometer with Ophir sensor head, I can not guarantee the accuracy of these measurements.
It is a federal crime to shine a laser at an aircraft!!

·      You are over 18 years of age.

·         You are qualified to handle and operate high power lasers!

·         You will not incorporate this diode into an illegal “laser pointer”!

·         You assume all responsibility, you will not hold seller liable for any damages to person or property.

·         This diode is prone to ESD (electro static discharge) damage, and proper ESD precautions must be observed to prevent this.

·         This laser diode can cause BLINDNESS do not look into beam, and be mindful of reflections they are just as dangerous!!

·         This diode must have the proper driving circuits for operation. Also to run this at full power proper cooling is required! Failure to do so will cause irreparable damage to your diode and render it useless, or turn it into an expensive LED.

Due to the nature of this item no returns or refunds are accepted!

I will not be held responsible for shipping delays or losses! once I ship the item, it is now in the hands of the United States Postal Service and your countries' customs. There can be long delays for international shipping, and customs can also add delays. >>>>>>>> All international orders now ship with $17.90 priority mail international.
Please don't ask me to be dishonest, and list lower value on customs form!!

Dear quijalicious,

Are these diodes extracted by you? Are you a
certified technician or anything that might prove
the products quality?

yes I'm an electronics engineer, ESDA certified, and I solder to military specifications. I work at a research and development facility where we have all precautions in place. we have ESD; floor wax/heal straps, workbench/wrist straps and we use Desco Charge buster air ionizers. I use an edyson soldapullt ESD-safe hot-tip desoldering station for removal. I hope this answered your question.

Hi Andy,

Im just wondering why is the tracking no. provided in the email is untraceable?

Hello, this is typical for international priority mail. The only service from the usps that is fully traceable is over $45. Not a very economical option. I assure you your package is on the way, and the number you have is also the customs number. So once it enters your country you can call your post office/ customs and ask for information on that number.

Andy

Hey Andy,

I got the module today...damn fantastic man. Love it very much.

Thanks again.

Daniel

Dear quijalicious,

Got the tracking no and the device. Makes my 2 Watt 445 look soooo beautiful. Thanks Much

Dear quijalicious,

thanks andy! Its a great product and i def. want to keep it.

Dear quijalicious,

Thanks for everything. I finished assembling all the parts (my first home-made laser) and squeezed it into a small aluminum flashlight housing. I set the driver with a dummy load for 1350ma. Wow is this thing bright! Definitely not to be used carelessly. I've saved you as one of my favorite vendors!
