This t-shirt features a RED ARMY (Manchester United) football/soccer firm logo. Partially inspired by the films/dvds Green Street (Hooligans), the Football Factory, and the Firm. This is NOT a Manchester United club tee, it is a supporter tee.

The Red Army are a UK football hooligan firm  affiliated to Manchester United which some believe to have the greatest reputation of all the football hooligan firms.  They have had a long standing rivalry with the Inter City Firm (ICF) who follow West Ham United (This is the actual firm the GSE in Green Street Hooligans is based on). The Red Army were featured in the 1985 documentary 'Hooligan' which was based around West Ham's trip to Old Trafford in the FA Cup 6th Round and shows The Red Army fighting with the ICF around Manchester. They were one of a few firms which had a fearsome reputation in the 1970s and 80s.

The most famous member of the The Red Army was Tony O'Neill, who led the firm in the late 1970s until around 2001 when he was banned from football grounds. O'Neill has since released two books about the firm, Red Army General in 2004 and The Men in Black in 2006. The name Men In Black comes from the Red Army wearing all black to matches, most notably in one match at Upton Park where they ambushed West Ham fans while wearing balaclavas/ski-masks.

*What is combed cotton you ask? Combed cotton is an extremely soft version of cotton made by specially treating the cotton fibers before they are spun into yarn. As a general rule, combed cotton is slightly more expensive than conventional cotton. The extremely soft, strong material is ideal for clothing which will be worn against the skin. Basically it is lighter and more comfortable.

Larger tees, 3XL and up, only available in standard cotton Gildan/Alstyle tees. Sizes XXL and up are a few dollars more.

The American Apparel tees will shrink in the wash so if you like how it fits I suggest you use cold water to wash and avoid putting the item in the dryer.
The color may appear slightly different in person due to the camera.
The shirt is professionally screen printed, not ironed on.


SIZING for AMERICAN APPAREL tees:

A small measures approx. 17.5" across the chest and 27" top to bottom.
A medium measures approx. 19" across the chest and 28.5" in length.
A large measures about 21" across the chest and 30" in length.
An XL is about 23" across and approx. 30.5" in length.
A XXL is about 24.5" across and 33.5" in length.

SIZING for STANDARD tees (larger sizes only):

A 3XL fits about 26" across and 33" in length.
A 4XL fits about 28" wide and 33" in length.
A 5XL fits about 30" wide and 33" in length.

The AA shirts measurements are slightly larger than the standard tees but will shrink a lot more and are designed to be more fitted.

Packages are sent via Canada Post airmail - about 1-2 weeks, sometimes longer when crossing the border and going through customs.
