Enhanced kit also addresses Activa Active Roll Control System
This is an enhanced version of the Xantia Hydractive II Suspension Repair Kit available in my eBay store.
This kit is specifically for the Xantia Activa with it's Active Roll Control system.
This kit includes all the features of the standard Xantia Hydractive II Suspension Repair Kit and in addition addresses the common related fault with the Xantia Active Roll Control system.
I'm not going to reproduce all the information about the standard Xantia kit in this eBay listing - only focus on the additional benefits this kit offers for the Xantia Activa. If you haven't already read the information about the standard Xantia kit you should read it before going any further as it's very relevant to this kit too. Just visit my eBay store where the standard Xantia kit is always featured at the top of the Citroen category.
The Xantia Activa has Hydractive II suspension - and in addition has an Active Roll Control system that keeps the body horizontal when taking a corner. This improves axle geometry and tyre adhesion and provides much better roadholding. On the Activa both systems are integrated into the suspension system and both are controlled by the suspension ECU (computer brain). However the two systems operate independently - the Active Roll Control being triggered by sensors detecting vehicle speed, angle of steering and speed of steering. Both systems are affected by the "sport / normal" suspension switch.
Like the Hydractive II suspension - the Active Roll Control system uses a (third) electro-mechanical firmness regulator to switch another additional sphere in or out of the Active Roll Control hydraulic circuit to make it softer or firmer.
So what goes wrong with the Active Roll Control? Well - the electro-mechanical firmness regulator suffers from the same component failure that affects it's Hydractive II counterparts.
There's one big difference however. This failure on the Active Roll Control system leaves it (Active Roll Control only) permenantly in "soft" mode by default (as opposed to "firm" mode on the Hydractive II suspension).
So - what does this enhanced kit do? As with the standard Xantia kit it replaces the failed components in the same way - this time for all three firmness regulators. This kit has 4 wires and also comes with clear instructions specific to your car. All you need to provide is the vehicle 4 digit RP No that's painted on the bulkhead (see picture at foot of page).
As with the standard Xantia kit - you can fit this if any number of the firmness regulators are suffering from this problem. You should even fit it if your Activa is in perfect working order as it's an excellent preventative maintenance measure.
