This cap is a genuine OE part from the United States, perfect for collectors or those looking to replace a missing or damaged gas cap on their classic Ford Mustang.
This Mustang cap is a FoMoCo (Ford Motor Company) Stant Manufacturing cap from the original Mustang gas cap molds. This cap does not have the inside / back mounting plate or cable attachment. Never used or mounted on a vehicle. Has the "SM" stamp inside the cap for "Stant Manufacturing, which made most of the original Mustang gas caps. Good coloring on the lettering and the Horse emblem stripes. Neat collectors item or you can purchase the mounting plate and use on a Mustang.
