Mentha aquatica (Water mint) marginal bare root plant/rooted cutting.

This native aquatic is a useful creeping plant which can be used to cover the edge of the pond. It is easy to grow and spreads quite rapidly. The rounded leaves are hairy and often take on a purplish tinge. As you would expect, the foliage is aromatic when crushed. In mid summer it becomes an attractive flowering plant. The lavender flowers are grouped together in miniature powder-puffs which are borne in whorls along the stems. The flowers are especially attractive to bees. Max depth 3".

This is a bare root plant/rooted cutting (see pic 2) and will require planting into a suitable container in aquatic compost or a good quality topsoil with aquatic plant fertiliser added. We would suggest our 18cm planting bag with FREE aquatic plant fertiliser, available in our ebay shop.
