Alfa Spider 1970cc
Welcome to my auction of my much loved Alfa Spider. I have owned this car for 12 months and apart from replacing the drive belt have had no issues whatsoever. The car was MOT last July at 87267 miles. It is now at 89721 I've done just over 2k in 10 months hence I have decided to sell up and buy a 4 seater to accommodated children :-/
I bought the car from a spider enthusiast who had clearly loved and looked after the car. The winner of this auction will be getting a great example of an Italian sports car that is a real head turner.
The 1970cc petrol engine packs punch but does retain an element of fuel efficiency. This car is not burning oil or using water, never any issues with overheating. All 4 tyres are excellent quality and in great condition. All alloys in excellent condition.
The Hood !! Electric Hood is in excellent working condition. I replaced the rear window last week as it was starting to look dull. The electric roof motors on the spider have a common well known fault caused by the drive cog wearing and then failing to release to catch. I bought a new cog machine made out of high quality fibre for £60 as yet I have not needed to fit it (30 minute job) but it will come with the car to give peace of mind regarding any future issues.
Striking red leather that speaks for its self. I have tried to capture the only sign of wear on the driverside bolster, again this is another common fault with not just alfa spiders but most leather seats of a certain age. However you can use a leather stain that will completely mask this sign of wear. It hasn t bothered me as Ive been too busy enjoying the drive.
I have MOT history request from VOSA that confirms the mileage is correct and all genuine.
Sadly when I bought the car the previous owner had lost the service book however I did speak with the alfa garage that had worked on the car and I was happy with how the vehicle had been services and this included all belts and variators replaced. Also breaks well maintained.
I'm going to put 12 MOT on this car for the new owner just as the previous owner did for me. Its a beautiful sports car but will obvisouely have thos ages related blemishes. Great opportunity to buy a striking sports car for the summer. The private plate does come with the car to make it a timeless classic.
Forgot to mention that this car is fitted with a full sports stainless steel exhaust system. Im told the system cost approx £800. This gives the car a much more sports sound. A couple of people have messaged me asking if i have a buy it now price to end the auction. You can make an offer by all means other than that I will be letting the auction run its course.
The car is booked in for the MOT 10th May although the current MOT doesnt expire until July. If someone wants to make an offer with its current MOT then message me, you wont have long!
Now... I encourage test drives and any inspection. You are bidding to buy any jokers please your bids will be removed. I will expect a £200 deposit paid through paypal and the rest on collection. The car is sold without warrenty & Collection is from Wakefield Jct39 of M1. Im not in the trade and I'm a genuine seller with just the one ebay that I'm proud of 100% feedback.

Can people stop messages me asking me what my "best price" is. If you want to make a sensible offer its welcome but dont expect me to tell you what my lowest price will be, thats just daft! If I dont like your offer then i will let you know with a polite "no thanks" :-) Someone will drive off in a fab convertable this summer:-) Thanks.
