A very cool example most likely produced at one of the many glass studios of Murano, Italy.  An inner red/orange layer of glass encases swirling bands of multicolored pastel hues with an outer clear layer. While the glass was soft, the top opening was sheared and coiled back to form an interesting rim as well as expose the beautiful interior color.  The vase measures 8 1/4” tall and 3 1/2” across the top at the widest. The base spans approximately 3 1/4” diameter. I find no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. The inside is clean showing no staining or residue from use. A nicely ground bottom/pontil visible in one picture.  I will mention during production when the bands of multicolored hues were incorporated into the glass, minute pinpoint dark specks only visible with close inspection or magnification became incorporated into the design. Definitely a flashy example for the shelf.  Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.

Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.

Thank you.
