This is an AVR programmer based off of the USBasp designed by Thomas Fischl. It takes his original design and modified it to make it more sleek and compact. If you are interested in learning more about it or the original, you can check it out at http://www.fischl.de/usbasp.
This programmer can be used to program and read device IDs, fuse bits, lock bits, EEPROM, and the AVR's firmware. It is compatible with many boards that feature an AVR at the core including Arduino, Hobby King's KK2, and many more.
Package includes:
1 x USBasp
1 x 10 pin programming cable
1 x 10 to 6 pin adapter for compatibility with most boards
Compatible programs to upload to AVR include:
Avrdude 5.2 and up (Windows, Linux, Mac)
Extreme Burner - AVR (scroll down to bottom of page for download section) (Windows, Linux)
Notes:
These have been flashed with the most recent USBasp firmware
USBasp is compatible with all versions of Linux, Mac, and Windows(XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8)
For Windows 8 usage it needs to be configured to allow unsigned drivers (have a look at this for instructions)
For Windows Vista and 7 you just need to make sure that you use the most recent version of the driver, downloadable at http://www.fischl.de/usbasp, as that contains a partially signed driver and these OS will allow it
For Linux and Mac the drivers should already be in your kernel
