Up for sale is a vintage, large Giant Triton's Trumpet (Charonia tritonis) specimen exhibiting an impressive bulk at 16" (406.4mm) long and an extraordinary robust swollen" Body Whorl  at 10" (254mm) measured across from mid-labrum edge to the mid-varix edge.

• The columellar plicae displays richly bold and well-wrinkled accent lines.

•  The flash of red/orange of the palatal wall is strongly vibrant. 

•  The distinctive whorl patterning is consistently and evenly distributed making for balanced aesthetics.

•  Note: this specimen features substantial pitting due to historical sponge growth giving it a distinct "Wild Ocean Character," earned through decades of natural reef survival.  There is also some minor chipping and wear to the surfaces and edge of the labrum consistent with a vintage specimen.

• This specimen will make for a powerfully commanding display piece.

By default we do NOT accept returns. However, an automatic exception applies to an item sold as working that arrives DOA (Parts and Repair items will not qualify).
