Mimi Di N vintage bright gold gone two-piece bow belt buckle. Signed and dated.
Really great condition! While Sicilian born Mimi di Nascemi studied at the Philadelphia museum school she worked for a company that manufactured jewelry for Schiaparelli. She later studied and Paris and then worked with Arnold Scaasi and for Brania. Mimi started her own company in 1962 and designed both jewelry and belt buckles. Her pieces are sometimes dated in the 70's and 80's. It is unclear exactly when jewelry operations ceased. The current company sells only belt buckles and belt strips. |
