To clarify
This system originates from America and as such it is an imperial based system, if you prefer metric just divide the decimal imperial measurement by .0393701 to give you the iquivelant in mm.
I sell the components for a modular drive system be it for model locomotives, model industrial automation etc, what you select in the drop down list is what you get, you as a modeller have to calculate the reduction ratios, length of chain required etc.
The chain is supplied in one continous length, eg if you order chain x 8 in the drop down menu I will supply one continous length measuring 16" coiled and bagged.
I have included some helpful hints below to help you however if you are unsure I can give more guidance if you message the details.
A simple rule of thumb for modellers to work out clearances with chain on the sprocket is the number of sprocket teeth + 2mm = Max OD, eg 20 tooth sprocket + 2mm = 20+2 =22mm.
To join the chain you hook one leg onto the other links pin then gently flex the legs of the open end of the "U" shaped link so the other leg clicks onto the other pin.
To undo a link it is the reverse, it is one of those things that is easy to show but difficult to explain (if I ever figure out how to put a video clip in the listing it would make better sense).

Delrin is an engineering polymer (High quality plastic), it is very stable, self lubricating and perfectly suited to small scale power transmission purposes, Delrin is a registered trade name of E.I. Dupont.
Unit Link Design
This Unique snap-lock chain link design allows any pitch length to be fabricated in a matter of seconds without splicing, master links or special tools.
High Strength to Weight Ratio
Although the chain weighs a mere .067 oz. per foot (1.9 gm/ft), it provides excellent service with running tension loads up to 2 pounds, and has an ultimate breaking strength of 7 pounds at 75° F. Sprocket weights ranging from .009 oz. to .097 oz. (.26 gm to 2.7gm) keep the system inertia to a minimum.
Chemical Resistance
These drive components exhibit outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents. The ability to operate in high humidity and corrosive environments can be an added benefit in many applications.
Pre-Lubricated
The chain and sprockets are pre-lubricated and stress relived at elevated temperature. This is only one of many extra steps taken to assure the design engineer of reliable and consistently uniform drive components.
