Marklin Stationary Toy Steam Engine Model 4107/7.5
Green Base = 5.4 cm X 6 cm, Height to smoke stack top = 46 cm, Engine Base
= 4.8 cm X 4.8 cm, Height = 41 cm. Double
Action. Boiler is 7.5 cm in diameter X 10.1 cm long. Flywheel diameter is 7.5 cm with one small
sprocket wheel on the axle. Looks original
with burner, spring loaded water fill screw, oil fill spout for the
cylinder/piston, whistle, stack, water, water drain valve on side of the
boiler, oil point for cylinder/piston(missing
the screw top), and a Brass Marklin Emblem on the boiler 7.5. I am leaving the wiring on the engine, but it
could be cut if you do not want it as a lamp.
The smoke stack top has a flat round disk soldered on it to hold the
lamp tube that holds the lamp base. Could use some cleaning.
This is one of two old Marklin Steam Engines I
have put on eBay for sale separately that someone has added hardware to make it
a table lamp. See the pictures. This
engine has two slight modifications when
the lamps had this added hardware (The top of the smoke stack has a small disk soldered
onto it and the stack tube has something added to the interior of it). I have
had them in my back bedroom for years. I
will sell them separately and sell them with all disassemble lamp parts except
for the shades due to their size and box cost. All lamp parts will be sent with
the engine and you will have to reassemble a shade to the engine if you buy it
seperately. If the buyer wants the lamp shades, they can contact me after the
sale and I will figure out the price with shipping.
Information from many old Marklin Catalogs and
the actual engine. I have one more Marklin Engins for sale.
