Description: An excellent figural landscape, watercolour on artist's paper, signed "Miller Smith", and dated 1915 and framed - approx 13 X 16 inches (33 X 41cm). This is an excellent English School watercolour dating from the early 20th Century period. The figural landscape depicts a wonderful impressionist view of a farming landscape with a horse and cart in the distance. To the foreground a pond glistens surrounded by thick bull rushes. A farmer can be seen on the edge of the water rounding up his flock of sheep which are grazing quietly in the meadow. The farmhouse nestles beneath the rising hills and mountains beneath a grey clouded sky. A beautifully detailed watercolour.The work is signed and dated lower right - "Miller Smith", 1915.

Framing: Contemporary plain moulded Wood.Finish: Gilt.The watercolour is mounted on board and has a cream mount.

Condition: The artist's paper has mellowed, not unusual with watercolours of this age, otherwise retaining good general colour with character and authenticity.
