Description: A fine pastel on artist's paper, signed "MR" and dating to the 1980s. It is framed, measuring approx 23 x 18 inches (58 x 46 cm). This fine pastel depicts a decorative garden scene titled, verso, "Autumn Garden". A stone statue sits on the patio leading to a lawned area where mature treees grow, leaves falling to the floor turning to the golden shades of autumn, a cold clouded sky above. The work is signed "MR" lower right for "Margaret Ricketts".

Artist Biog: Margaret Adeliza Mary Ricketts (nee Royds) (B. 1910 - deceased) - Married to Ralf Robert Ricketts (1902 - 1998) - formerly of Old Alresford Lodge, Alresford, Hampshire.

Framing: Contemporary plain moulded Pine. Finish: Gilt.The pastel is mounted on board and has a Grey mount.

Condition: The pastel is in excellent original condition. There are some thunderbugs beneath the glass.
