Description: An excellent landscape watercolour on artist's paper dating circa 1890-1930, framed - approx 9 X 13 inches (23 X 33 cm).This is an excellent British School watercolour dating from the Victorian period. The landscape depicts a wonderful impressionist classic late 19th to early 20th Century watercolour. To the foreground intricately painted trees stand, in full summer foliage leading the eye to the rolling landscape unfolding with woodland and a patchwork of fields. On the horizon the hills rise shrouded in a summer haze.

Artist Biog: Alexander Strahan Buchanan (19th / 20th Century) landscape and portrait artist.

Framing: Later plain moulded Wood. Finish: Limed. The watercolour is mounted on board and has a Grey mount.

Date: circa 1900

Condition: The painting is in good condition for its age, having one or two marks and signs of foxing, only adding to character and authenticity.
