Galleries, Piccadilly" this captures the lined banks of the Whitewater River, Hampshire, tall reeds, lush grasses strong structural sedge in dashed brush strokes. Tall poplar rising above. Beautifully washed blends of watercolour give an apt impressionist palette. Drier structural modelling to the foreground. The balanced composition achieved by simple shadows of trees, the water of the river hardly pictured just hinted at to lower left, the sky a mainly blank wash. It is summer, humid, warm overcast. Very atmospheric. Signed "Margot Harrison" lower right.
