You are bidding on a collection of beautifully painted 28mm American Revolution figures by Perry Miniatures. Full breakdown listed below. Each figure has been painted to a consistently high standard and individually based on weighted bases to ensure stability on the table top. They consist of both Crown and Continental forces, two balanced forces, and are perfect for skirmish/small action type games such as Sharp Practice and Musket & Tomahawk rules.
They may also be used (as I intended) for the Commands & Colors (Napoleonics) unofficial AWI version, using each single figure to replace each wooden block. Any wargamer with a 100mm 'Hotz' style hexagonal mat or 100mm hex terrain from Hexon would be able to play through all of the C&C AWI scenarios using these figures.
They are a mix of Perry 28mm plastic and metal, the plastics being the British and Loyalist 'hatmen' (centre companies), and the Continental line troops, representing a box of each of the sets. All of the remaining figures are Perry metals. I think the figure cost alone is around £150.00, before any painting!
There are 170 pieces, which breaks down as follows:
Crown forces.
British line infantry centre companies, advancing at the trail arms. 28 plastic figures.
British Light infantry, two companies, one in cap/hats and the other in 'butterfly' hats. x 10 metals.
British Grenadiers (of the line). 8 figures in two companies (green/buff facings). x 8metals.
Queens Rangers Riflemen. 8 metal figures plus a 3 metal figure command base.
Kings Royal Yorkers (New York Loyalists). 8 x plastics with a command figure.
Hessian Jaeger - 3 metal figures - riflemen.
2 x metal 6pdr Guns each with 3 crew.
3 x metal 17th Light Dragoons (just require basing which will be done before dispatch.
3 x metal command bases, each of a mounted officer and a foot figure.
Americans.
Continental line infantry (regulars) x 32 plastics, mix of uniforms/headgear plus hunting shirts, plus a 3 figure command base.
Militia - 20 metals, painted in civilian clothing, no bayonets etc, some really nice characters included in this lot.
Light infantry - plastics, hunting shirts and uniform coats with different headgear etc. 8 figures.
Riflemen - the dreaded rifles! Two companies of 4 figures each, all metals, in two shades of hunting shirts. 8 figures.
2 x metal 6pdr guns, each with 3 crew, one being the early brown uniform Rhode Island Artillery, the other in blue coats etc.
1st Continental dragoons - just 3 figures but amazing castings!
3 x metal command bases, each with a mounted officer and a foot figure.
In addition you get my unique figure of 'Liberty Elle' converted from an old Foundry figure she caused quite a stir on my blog!

Each figure has been well brush varnished for protection and will be posted individually bubble wrapped for protection and encased within a very strong outer carton. I have a lot of experience of posting painted figures as I paint on commission as The war Artist, and I take great care in it.
The bases are mdf laser cut, infantry on 30mm, command on 50mm and the cavalry on 40mm. Bases are weighted and then textured/grassed for a consistent look.
Should the buyer wish to expand these forces I can offer my services for this at my reasonable commercial rate, subject to workload, but I am prepared to offer this option as I can understand some might wish to add further command figures maybe and cavalry?

Thank you for looking, I hope you will bid on what is a very nice collection of model soldiers of this most fascinating period of history, and above all I hope the winner enjoys owning them as much as I enjoyed painting them. They have never actually been played with, just set up for photos and so are in pristine condition.
I have been asked how easy it would be to remove these figures from the current bases in order to re-base to match an existing collection. I have tried several (non sale) figures both plastic and metal and all came off without damage. The key is to soak the bases (30mm MDF, 2p coin and PVA glue etc) for several hours which melts away all of the PVA, this allows the figure to be removed and it can then be fairly easily removed from the 2p coin 'weight' with no harm done. Just takes care and patience!
In order to increase chances of a sale I may be willing to de base (remove) all the figures post sale if required, but would need a few days to do this for you. It would make postage easier too!
