This solar charge controller uses the most advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to track the maximum power voltage point of solar panels as it varies depending on sunlight exposure and temperature. This technology ensures the maximum efficiency of your solar system and significantly outperforms standard PWM solar controllers. Another benefit of MPPT technology is the wide solar input voltage range - this controller can work not only with standard off-grid 12/24V solar panels, but also with on-grid panels up to 100V. The maximum combined input solar power allowed for this controller is 260W for 12V battery system or 520W for 24V system, so it's an ideal controller for on-grid (household-type) solar panels up to 260W. In particular, this controller will significantly increase efficiency of a solar system where the solar panel voltage is much higher than the battery voltage (e.g. charging a 12V battery with a 36V solar panel).

The controller features a comprehensive set of electronic protection functions such as stopping reverse current at night (from the battery back to the solar panel), automatic cut off to prevent over-charging and deep discharge, over voltage, over load, short circuit and reverse polarity protection.

Other features include dual timer function for load work, "dusk to dawn" settings, LED indicators and a temperature sensor.

The controller comes with a remote LCD meter with 2m cable. This meter can display various charging parameters such as voltage, current (separately for solar panel / load) and the state of charge of the battery. It can also record accumulated battery capacity and min / max voltage.

The unit can work with sealed, gel and flooded batteries and can automatically recognise 12/24V battery systems (note a battery should always be connected to the controller first before connecting a solar panel).

Packaging:

  • We use bubble wrap, polystyrene or robust cardboard to protect the item from damage on its way to you. We often attach a red sticker "Fragile" to make sure your item is handled with care.

Warranty:

  • This product is covered by 2 year manufacturer warranty. In addition, if there's any problem with the item or you change your mind in the first 14 days after receipt of the item we will be happy to either replace it or refund your payment. To be eligible for a refund / replacement, you need to notify us via email / phone within 14 days of receipt that you intend to return the item, request the return address and send the item back within further 7 days at your cost. Please do ensure we receive the item in the same perfect condition and confirm it has not been fitted / used. If there's a problem please let us know immediately.
