Up for grabs is this VGA 85 copy of Legend of Zelda – Links Awakening. This is the Nintendo Gameboy U.S. NTSC version. This game has been graded by the Video Game Authority in the U.S. and given a Silver Level rating. If you are unfamiliar with the VGA, have a look at this:

www.vggrader.com.

To make a long story short, the physical condition of the game is evaluated, given a grade out of 100 and then preserved in an airtight protective acrylic case against the ravages of time. So if you're looking for a copy to open and play, you're in the wrong place. This is a collector's item, fit for a museum.

As stated, this game has attained a Silver grading - to quote the VGA:

"The highest grade within this level, an 85, could most often be described as being near case fresh, with the lowest grade within this level, a 75, being somewhat shelf worn but still relatively nice. As a general rule, an item which receives the grade of 85 is a fantastic display piece and can often be right on the edge of Gold level condition. The term 'case fresh' is certainly justifiable, as the average item pulled from a sealed case would grade an 85 due to small flaws which occur when items are packaged or shipped from the factory. "

Also, many collectors will tell you that attaining good grades on old games are very difficult indeed. So yes, you will see quite a few modern games with VGA 85 or higher grades floating around on eBay, but very few Game Boy, NES, SNES and N64 games with similar grades.
